Believe quilt

My clients Jane and Paula worked together on this quilt top. They have a mutual friend who is a young mother and was recently diagnosed with advanced cancer. Life has so many confusing and heart-breaking twists and turns. At least we can have the solidarity of our friends. Jane and Paula are good friends.

Some clients choose to hire me to affix the binding to their quilts for them. Jane provided a ready-to-go binding strip - one long strip, more than long enough to go around the quilt's perimeter, ironed in half. I attached it to the front of the quilt, and it gets returned to her trimmed and read for her to wrap the binding around to the back of the quilt and hand-stitch it in place with a needle and thread.

Here is the spot where the two ends of the binding join. I do all of it while on the longarm frame.

View from the back of the quilt.
